ERKADO entrance doors with an aluminium frame

ERKADO aluminium entrance doors combine a thermally insulated aluminium frame and threshold with a PUR-insulated door leaf clad in PVC-coated galvanised steel. This combination brings together the strength of a steel door leaf and the thermal performance of a modern entrance door. A choice of constructions allows you to match the door to your insulation and security requirements and the architecture of your home.

Thermal insulation

Door constructions up to 88 mm thick. The most energy-efficient specifications achieve a declared thermal transmittance as low as Ud = 0.60 W/(m²·K).*

RC2 burglary resistance is available for eligible models and specifications.

Aluminium frame and threshold

A thermally broken aluminium frame and an insulated aluminium threshold form the perimeter of the doorset. The PUR-insulated, galvanised-steel-clad door leaf provides structural strength.

Door leaf and insulationA four-sided rebate, composite leaf frame and PUR insulation. The external cladding is galvanised steel with an exterior-grade PVC coating.

Hinges and securityThree 3D-adjustable hinges with covers and four anti-lift bolts.

Locking systemA three-point hook-and-bolt lock. A second upper lock is available for eligible specifications.

Frame and thresholdA thermally insulated aluminium threshold. THERMO HOT includes an aluminium frame; an aluminium frame is optional on THERMO 64 and THERMO 78.

SealingPerimeter seals, with an optional drop-down seal for compatible specifications.

Glazed models use multi-cavity insulating glass units; standard four-pane units have a black spacer bar. RC2 burglary-resistant doors require a compatible RC2 glazing unit. Available glass types and glazing shapes depend on the collection, design and door specification.

Width: 200–800 mm in 100 mm increments. Height: 2086–2400 mm; standard height is 2086 mm for THERMO 64/78 or 2101 mm for THERMO HOT.

Fanlight

Height: 200–500 mm in 100 mm increments. Width: 948–2687 mm, depending on the THERMO construction and door width.

Dimensions are measured to the outside of the frame. Sidelights and fanlights are available with an aluminium frame. Exact proportions, glazing and compatibility are confirmed in your quote. Entrance doorsets with fanlights have not been tested to RC2.

The price depends on the design, construction, dimensions, colour, glazing, hardware and accessories. The starting price shown for each collection is based on its most affordable design and colour, excluding hardware. Your final price is calculated once you have chosen the specification.

What is the difference between THERMO 64, THERMO 78 and THERMO HOT?

The constructions differ in thickness and thermal performance. For the most energy-efficient THERMO HOT 88 construction, the manufacturer declares a Ud value as low as 0.60 W/(m²·K) for the corresponding reference configuration.

Can I order a made-to-measure door?

Eligible constructions and models are available in made-to-measure doorset sizes, including the frame: widths of 770–1210 mm and heights of 1800–2480 mm, in 10 mm increments. Available dimensions are checked for your chosen door.

What is included in the starting price?

The starting price is based on the entry-level THERMO 64 construction with a steel frame. It includes the door leaf, frame, thermally insulated aluminium threshold, hinges, anti-lift bolts and main lock. An aluminium frame is priced separately for THERMO 64 and THERMO 78; it is included as standard with THERMO HOT 78 and THERMO HOT 88. Door hardware, cylinders and selected options are quoted separately.

How do I choose a door size to fit my opening?

For standard doors, the approximate opening widths are 950, 1000, 1050, 1100 and 1200 mm. The corresponding clear opening widths are 756, 806, 856, 906 and 1006 mm. Exact dimensions depend on the frame type and opening direction.

What does RC2 mean?

RC2 is a burglary-resistance class for a specified door configuration. Classification depends on the construction, insulating glass unit and hardware, and is confirmed when your quote is prepared.

Can I choose the door colour?

Yes. ERKADO offers solid colours and a range of wood-effect finishes. Available options depend on the model you choose.

Are glazed ERKADO doors available?

Yes. Many designs are available with a choice of glazing options.
